research

We explore cities in their complexity as interactive systems. Our research is directed towards what lies underneath the apparent urban order and makes each city quite different to every other; how does each city evolve; how can cities generate sustainable prosperity?

public participation

Our international programme of workshops and public events, brings together people and institutions who share a common interest in the city and its development; enabling public participation to become an active part in the urban development process.

urban design

We draw ideas for creating successful places that are environmentally and socio-economically sustainable. We see urban design right at the heart of urban societies and economies; a tool to create and redefine human interaction in urban space.

innovation

Each of our projects starts as a unique urban problem to resolve. Fusing expert research and public participation into the design process we provide innovative solutions addressing the socio-economic and environmental challenges our cities are facing.
